I have used this foundation for a while and really love it. I have used Chanel foundations since I was 16 and think they are the best; now and then I try others, but none compare. I have oily skin, so this is a great foundation type - does not give a dry matte finish, but a natural, (not oily) glow. It goes on fairly dry so you have to apply to your face section by section instead of dotting it all over and then blending. Since it is being discontinued, I decided to try the Perfection Lumiere, which I am still testing out. I don't notice a big difference so far. The Perfection Lumiere is supposedly longer lasting, but I think it makes me shiny earlier than the Mat Lumiere. As with all foundations, this looks much better over an oil-free primer - even a drugstore primer - pores look smaller and skin stays oil-free longer than without. Do not use this foundation if you are dry or legit combination, only oily or it will cake up on the dry parts. Packaging is fabulous, obviously. When you pump the makeup, keep it very close to your hand/sponge, etc, so that if the pump is clogged a bit, it won't squirt all over your clothes.

Great luminous coverage, but...

For the most part, I am happy with this foundation. It is luminous, great coverage without looking too cakey, BUT my biggest issue with the product is that it gets very shiny within a few hours. By the end of the work day, my face is completely glossy. I have tried different primers and I have the same issue.

Not the foundation for me

I have been using the Vitalumiere foundation, and it works brilliantly. Decided to try the matte one. Unfortunately it doesn't work with my dry skin at all - end up looking like a geisha with her powder makeup badly applied. It might work well for someone with oily/oilier skin - for my dry one it was a disaster. Will not buy again.
