I've used this mascara for several years after almost giving up on using mascara. Most mascaras leave smudges under my eyes (even waterproof ones). This truly doesn't smear and washes off with water. It has fibers in it, which adds volume. Anyway, I just love this and highly recommend it if you can't wear other types of mascara.
This is my first ever review, anywhere, and I am a huge online shopper. I bought two different Clinique mascaras months ago and am just now trying this one. I love all-things Clinique but this mascara, described as "long-wearing formula," does not wash off with soap and water. I just wasted $16.50 on this as I can't use it.
I have used Clinique mascaras for at least two decades and have never experienced this situation. If I was buying "waterproof" mascara, then I would certainly understand and expect this to happen. But this isn't described that way.
It's so difficult to get off (I don't have special mascara remover) that some remained on my lashes until the next day (after showering) when I used my fingers to get it off. I don't need to lose any more lashes than I do normally so this is not an option.
If you want a nice mascara that stays on, this is great, but know you need eye makeup remover or whatever people use to get waterproof mascara off. Two stars because it is nice mascara. I didn't give it an additional three because I can't use it and wasted $16.50!

Great Mascara, thickening and long lasting. Leaves no blackness around the eye. Easy to remove.
I have chemical sensitivities and I love this formula. Does not irritate my eyes. Stays in place without being difficult to remove and most importantly it looks good. Sometimes it feels people with sensitive skin/eyes have to give something up to get a product that works for them, but I am always pleased with the look and performance of this mascara. Lengthens and darkens without looking clumpy.
