I bought this in the Healthy Lips color and it has a nice sheen to it. Was looking for something to give me a little color but not too much and this does the trick. Very happy with the purchase. Will look at other colors to purchase in the future.
First of all, this formula smells delicious! That's important to me, since me nose is close to my lips! I love that this color (Bare Lips) doesn't change my own lip color, but enhances it. It feels great on, but isn't one of those 'last all day' formulas, which I avoid because it is drying. This is NOT drying, but moisturizing and a 'feel good' for my lips. I have a tube in my purse and a tube in my makeup kit. This formula is light and soothing. My lips (and my nose) love it!

I had never tried a Laura Mercier Lipstick before and got this one in exchange for a Lipwash product that I was not happy with. The formula is very nice, especially after trying so many long wearing lip products that were so drying. The color was a bit darker on than I thought it was going to be but still looked very nice. I may try a lighter color next, maybe Baby Lips? Also I do not think this exceptionally sheer in the great scheme of things, definitely more of a lipstick than a balm.
