Prospretty but big

I ordered these for my husband in a size 8 (he normally wears size 9 but I sized down) and they were still too big. I had to return them. The 7.5 was sold out so we ordered a different brand. My husband bought a pair of these six years ago and has worn them out!! I was hoping to replace them.

Boots with Style

I was looking for something casual and different that I could dress up and do not already have and I started looking at ankle boots to wear with casual pants and jeans. I tried these on and fell in love. The boots run very big - I ordinarily wear a 10.5 (my feet are more like a 10.25) and ended up with these in a 9.5. They fit perfectly and aren't too narrow despite the smaller size, in fact I can still wear thicker socks and they are comfortable. As for the look I bought the burnished brown and they look amazing contrasted with darker pants and jeans. The zipper ankle isn't too constricting and walking is comfortable, especially after the leather gets broken in a little.

Excellent Boots

The Hawthorne Boot by To Boot New York is fantastic. The boot is very comfortable and well made from an extremely soft leather. This boot fits like a glove! The true size of my foot (when it was recently measured for running shoes) is 11.5. In To Boot New York Oxfords I wear a size 10; however, to achieve the proper fit in the Hawthorne Boot I had to step down to a size 9.5. It seems runs a half size big by To Boot standards.
