Prosrough and sheds
I received this with a starter kit....and my review is the same as most!! Worked well at first then sheds and the bristles aren't soft at all!! I have to pick all the tiny hairs off my face!!! It's annoying! I emailed the company and they claim this shouldn't happen, and they would send me a new brush....but not until I send mine back and wait for the new one..! In the mean time how do I apply my foundation?? They understood my predicament but promised I would get a new one as soon as they've received mine. Needless to say I can't be bothered, and will buy a new one at Walmart and see if its any better. Just unfortunate for a $28 brush, the complaints seem all the same and they would fix the problem and know that I'm not making this up in order to get a new brush that I got 2 months ago...I forgot to mention that's how long I've had it!!!

The only reason I signed up to this site is to write and complain about how awful this brush is. I have been using Bare Minerals makeup for years without issue (but with a different makeup brush) and recently decided to buy a Bare Escentuals make up brush when travelling and forgot my own at home.
This horrible brush, in the two days I've had it, has shed heaps of hair already (so, terrible quality), completely reeks of god only knows what (it just smells AWFUL, like an old fur coat), and has caused a MAJOR skin reaction.
My face and neck are now red, puffy, covered in rash and acne. My skin is stinging like crazy and the only thing I've changed in my routine is using this freaking brush.
Even if it hadn't caused a reaction, the brush is extremely painful, scratchy and itchy to use regardless, and isn't all soft and nice like a brush should be. It actually is so rough it feels like your face is being scratched.
AVOID AVOID AVOID. I love Bare Minerals products and would recommend them in an instant -- but do NOT buy this horrible brush.

Prossheds
This brush sheds really bad. After applying foundation it takes a few minutes to pick all of the bristles from my face. I take a blow dryer and blow my clothes in hopes of removing them all. I don't have animals, but after applying makeup each morning it looks like I am covered with animal hair.

Prosdon't buy it!
This brush came with my get started kit and i wish i could return just this brush. It sheds little brush hairs on my face, which stick to the makeup and i have to pick them off while also trying not to mess up the makeup i just applied. Plus it's pretty rough. This morning I finally used a different brush, which is very soft, and it made a world of difference!! No more shedding and so much softer. Everyone, get a different brush!!!! You will be so much happier.
