I am a hard fit; wide foot, bunions and hard on shoes. Anyway just got these and broke them in all week at work (going on a hike over the weekend) - they were very comfortable and lightweight. The only problem is that my feet seem to sweat in them - and I have NEVER had this problem with any shoe / sock / etc. - in fact I rarely sweat period, much less my feet; so I am very surprised. p.s. like the other reviewers, i suggest ordering at least a 1/2 size up.

...well, I'm not sleeping in them...but they are so comfortable. I took the recommendation of other reviewers and ordered a half size bigger than I normally wear. Good suggestion as these fit perfectly. I'm a birder and have worn them on many different types of terrain including the beach and they work as designed.

Great Boot

These boots were comfortable the first time I put them on. Sizing was accurate. Quality was very good too.
I've never gotten into hiking boots, but lately, I realize that I need some! I have been researching and trying on various ones. One night, as the store is near closing, I put my feet into these boots, and love the feeling of softness. Unlike most other hiking boots, the leather is soft, and the support is really perfect for my soles. The arch is fully supported. Of course, every woman has different feet, but I feel that Merrill has really put some efforts to research on women's feet and shoes. I am so happy I found them. I am going to use them alot this summer and fall.
