Prosdisappointing
I was hoping for a replacement for my old Merrells, which have served me very well on many hikes all over the country. Something is very different (and not in a good way), about these new ones. They are very narrow, and not rugged at all. Going back immediately. The two stars are for cuteness factor only. If you are looking for cute, poser hiking shoes, and your feet are narrow, these might be fine.

Great Shoe for long Hikes and wet conditions
PostedDecember 7, 2014
I used this shoe (brand new) to hike the Milford track which is 33 miles in length. Each day was on average 10 miles of walking. It rained all three days on the track and the shoe kept my feet dry.
The shoe is comfortable but it does get hot if used in warmer temperatures. So I wore only wool socks with them.
My main complaint is that the hooks for the shoelaces get caught on the other shoe when I walk with my feet too close together. So I tripped a few times, but resolved my issue by wrapping the shoelace twice over the hook so there won't be any edges for things to get caught on it.

LIghtweight, Flexible & Narrow

Runs Very Small - I normally wear 9 1/2 - 10, so I got the 10, but it was very tight. I returned it for the 10 1/2 which was okay in length but still tight in width, and I do not have a narrow foot.
I wore them on a short walk over rocky ground, and they do not provide as much support in the footbed or ankle support as I had hoped. I could feel the rocks through these shoes. They felt more like a lightweight high top sneaker with a spongy kind of sole with a lot of give - definitely not rugged as the description states. My old pair of Merrell hikers were much more substantial and fit better. If you are planning to do a lot of hiking these may not be the shoes for you. Also they are rather narrow and don't have a roomy toe-box - more fashion-y than functional. I'm going to try them out one more time to see if the width stretches out a bit near my little toes - if not, I will return this pair too.
