I ordered this bag and the Le Pliage, and chose the Le Pliage. This one looks like it is a bit fancier, but it just didn't work for me. I prefer the "flexibility" of the Le Pliage- if you don't have a lot of stuff in that one, it won't look so huge. This bag will not conform, just too stiff looking. Also, I preferred the contrast of the Le Pliage (got the black one) to this all black bag. Maybe if I already owned a Le Pliage, I may have been willing to consider this one too...
I purchased this Longchamp tote for an upcoming trip to my native France. I am planning to carry it on board and to use it as a purse. Although it isn't made in France, it is beautifully made. It is sleek, elegant, modern and practical at the same time.. One or two more pockets would be welcome, but i can live with the current look. This tote will be in use for many more years to come.

Prospretty, roomy, durable, unique
This is my second LongChamp, with my first being a large Le Pilage that my boss got me for XMAS last year. While initially I had never heard of these wonderful bags and quite franky probably would have never thought to purchase one initially myself, I am now hooked. As someone who has an entire closet full of expensive high-end designer bags, I continously found myself reaching for my Le Pilage. It is for that very reason that I decided to invest in yet another, but more dressier, style. I purchased my Planetes in the Plum color because for me black is just too ordinary. The plum is beautiful and just gives the bag that something extra and just as with my Le Pilage, the bag is roomy and holds all my essentials. I cannot say enough about this bag and would recommend it to anyone looking for a durable and pretty daily tote.
