Prosversatile, classy, worth, the cost

These boots were a Christmas gift from my husband and I have worn them for two years, most exclusively during winter and fall months on the weekend. Unlike some other reviewers, I have had a problem with neither sole nor heel wearing out on me. I have worn my boots (black) in rain and snow and the leather still looks new. I wipe the boots if they get dirty, but I have yet to treat the leather with anything special. These boots are the most versatile and stylish I have ever worn; they look good with just about anything but formal wear, and someone might even be able to get away with that. :) My feet are slightly wide, but the medium width worked fine and is very comfortable. Word around is that Frye does guarantee their boots for two years, so if you have a problem, contact them and they should help you. The Frye Jane 14 is a most worthy investment and I expect to wear these for quite a long time.

Beautiful boots!

This is a beautiful, well-made boot that I hope will last for many years to come. I took off a star because the first pair I ordered had a small gap in the stitching of the calfskin lining. I exchanged them (Nordstrom chat was very helpful and provided excellent customer service). The replacement pair are great. The only other thing I would worn other customers about is these are a bit difficult to get on and off, particularly at first. They have already relaxed a bit, after just a few days use. I specifically did not want a zippered boot, and I love the look of these. Because they are all leather I think with time they will relax and form to my foot so that this is not a serious issue. But I did have to go up a half size in order to get them on and off.
i've waited 5 years to buy this boot. i finally made the jump and loved it. due to the reviews i first got the extended calf because i was worried about my calf fitting. what a mistake the extended calf was huge i could fit my thighs in it. so i returned and got the regular one. you definitely have to trust your instinct. this boot is light weight i walk around san francisco in it all day. i have the frye paige boots as well and those even though it's a flat boot feels more heavy. i couldn't wear it all day. the redwood color is amazing. giving it 4 stars because i got it resoled because the original sole is slippery no grip.

They for great and are a timeless look. The were shipped to me by Nordstrom in a timely fashion and as always with great customer service.
