Just received this a couple weeks ago and have used it a couple times. Right now I have it on with nothing else. I didn't have time to paint, but at least got this stuff on in anticipation of painting a color.... and luckily it looks very nice all on its own. It makes my nails look naturally shinny. I even filed my nails a bit and it didn't come off. I like the protein added and hope it helps but it not the reason I bought it. I found myself without a base coat and quick ordered this from Nordstrom.com LOVE the free shipping no what I order. It keeps me coming back time and again. Thank you NORDSTROM.

Get this one because it fills in all the imperfections. Then when you apply the nail polish it makes for a perfect smooth canvas without any ridges. Strengthens the nail and keeps it happy and healthy. I absolutely cannot stand yellow nails slowly chipping underneath from just wearing nail polish and no base or top coat-so if you're going to do it right use this 1st. I painted my nails sat and its mon now and I'm suprised how well they are holding up-Are these fake nails? lolz...Oh and Get the Top Coat too.

Prosworth the money
I ordered this because I was in need of a base coat and I am a big fan of essie polishes. I read reviews on another site and was hesitant to buy it but I am so glad I did!!! My nails were peeling from painting then almost everyday and this product immediately improved the look of my nails. If you wear it alone it looks almost clear but makes nails look healthy. My nail polish went on smoother and was opaque in fewer coats than normal. I typically have chips after one day, but I am on my third day and my nails still look perfect :) I LOVE this product and would definitely buy it again!
