I use this as a basecoat for my nails but no polish...it acts as a kind of "thickener", stays on well, doesn't chip off. My nails are really bad after yardwork this year, and this seems to do the trick to help them start growing again.

A good base coat but doesn't do much for my ridges

I bought this at the local store where I buy most of my Essie products. I have my nails done but always take in my own tools and polish. I use almost exclusively Essie. Their colors seem so crisp and pure. This product I had not tried until several months ago. I thought it did little to diminish the ridges in my nails...but then they are 77 year old ridges and rather pronounced. However, I will continue to use it until the bottle is finished because it is a fine base coat. I did so want to get rid of those ridges, though..

Fill the Gap - Ridge Filler

Fill the Gap is the only product that works for my nails. And I have tried a lot of other options for my nails that tear easily. I am devastated to hear it is discontinued. Can you tell me if your Ridge Filler serves the same purpose? How different is it?
