I really like to use this base as a plain polish when I don't feel like having color on my nails but still want them to look nice. It goes on smooth and has just a hint of neutral shade.

Recently I had a gel manicure which destroyed my nails, it left them peeling and gouged! I had tried several ridge fillers in an attempt to get a "smooth" manicure...none were able to provide the smoothness....until I tried Essie Ridge Filling base coat. With just one coat it gave the smoothness I needed, so much so that when my nails are polished you can't detect the damage! Great product! As an added plus... it seems to make my manicures last longer too!

I tried this on my nails b/c I have ridges and it didn't make a difference. Bummed out for sure!
