Does mostly what it says. I had a few erupted whiteheads and it took care of them rather quickly with no scarring or irritation. Yes it has a sulphuric smell so it's best used at night. I love the fact that I can use it over my moisturizer. I wish that it did a better job at getting those pesky milia that plague my skin, overall tho, good product.

The Drying Cream has a strong Sulpher smell, but it doesn't really bother me. It is very effective at drying out pimples. I use it every other night, otherwise my skin gets too dry.
This is very different from any other acne product i've used. It's like a clay mask that rubs in. I thought it would be too heavy, but it blends in nicely and makeup goes on over it very easily. It is a great day treatment. I use the buffering lotion at night, and the combination has been amazing! I've had such bad cystic acne all summer and had to stop using proactive because it was just damaging my skin and not even healing my acne. I've noticed less scarring since I've switched to Mario Badescu and I cannot rave enough about his products. The drying cream isn't as intensive on it's on to handle cystic acne, but works well as a day treatment in coordination with his other products
