I use it as a nice base for eyeshadow. It keeps it from coming off or getting into creases. This linen color is very light and I just use it for the inner corners of my eyelids, top and bottom, to brighten my eyes. Sparse use a subtle result. It stays put and doesn't make me itch.
I received a small sample size of the Laura Mercier eye primer, and I had to buy a full size when that one got low. I have tried eye primers in the past, by this one was way better. Then, I started just using it as a shadow, sometimes with eyeliner, sometimes alone, for a quick eye make-up job that looks great and fresh!.
As someone with oily lids, I was amazed after 8 hours, this didn’t crease. My skin is light-medium olive; Flax is an okay shade - a little too frosty. Satin finish accentuates fine lines, the texture is on the dry side. A little goes a long way.
