Sensual Silk 002 - Rouge Volupte

Prosnon-sticky, creamy, moisturizing, fills in lines
This is one of my go to lipsticks. The Sensual Silk 002 color is the perfect nude for me, which I would describe as a pale pink beige. This has less pigment and is less pink than 001, at least for my skin tone. I use with with Yves St Laurent neutral lip pencil for a classy plumped lip effect.
The Rouge Volupte formula is my favorite lipstick ever! I use Chanel, Shiseido, Givenchy, all high end brands. But nothing beats this formula in my opinion. While it does not contain 'plumping' properties, it has that visual effect because the creamy formula fills in the lines in my lips creating a much smoother surface.
I have been using this formula and color for the past 6 six years and would be devastated if it went away.

I have the no. 011 Rose Culte and love it. suits my olive skin tone very well and is a pink/fuschia color that pretty much goes with any outfit. not too bright at all. just enough to enhance your natural lip and give it some more color!
This is my second Rouge Volupte lipstick. The first (#9) is a beautiful bright pink, which is perfect for some occasions, but too much color for casual summer days. The Ultimate Beige is more natural looking still has the moisturizing and long lasting qualities.

I purchased this after wanting it a very long time. After looking at swatches #1 Nude Beige seemed like the perfect natural nude pink. If your lips are in good condition, it should look fine. If you have any dryness or flakes, it will look terrible. The texture is unlike any lipstick- it truly is a unique experience applying it to your lips. It is hard to explain, but perhaps like rubbing a firm (yet not refrigerated or warm) stick of butter to your lips. Not bad- just unique. The color (#1) is a bit more pale than I would like-has a touch too much white in it- but I can still make it work nicely. I do not know if I will want to repurchase.
