Awesome fit, from the moment I first put it on to right now as I type this at work. Gore-Tex is a big plus as I live in a cold & wet climate. Cannot say enough good things about this purchase, it is worth the price tag!!!

Great Shoes!

ConsMedium width
I bought these for an upcoming backpacking trip but have been breaking them in by walking around the city. At first I thought the arch was in the wrong place but after about half an hour it felt perfectly supportive. The real reason these get 5stars though is that I went to the gym with these shoes and got on an elliptical for 45min. I took them off to shower and when I put the shoes back on they weren't damp at all. A little warm, but none of that nasty sweaty feeling you'd expect. That same night I was walking through a nasty rainstorm and they kept my feet totally dry. Awesome!

Merrell Hiking Shoe

Proscomfortable
ConsWide width
I like the shoe. But I'm a female with a wide foot and can't ever find shoes or boots. These are very comfortable. I wear a 9 in W and I bought a 7 1/2 Men's. I had to use an ortho insert since there is not much arch support. The shoe is extremely comfortable.

Prosversatile, comfortable
These shoes have been my everyday wear for the past three years. And I do mean everyday, ranging from just walking to the car for work to a rim to rim hike of the Grand Canyon. The soles are starting to wear down, but they have served me well.
