I love this dress. It is sexy without being embarrassing. I am 5'2" and ordered the petite. I was worried that it would be smaller throughout, but it's not. Just in the length, which is what I was looking for. I bought a convertible bra from VS and I plan to put the straps into a halter and bring the back down as well. You can probably get away with a normal bra, but I didn't want to risk having it show through the mesh. I don't agree with the other users that it acts as it's own Spanx. I will be wearing pantyhose with it to help smooth out any bumpy areas, even though the pleats help hide any problems. All in all, a great purchase. Very happy to have found this dress.

I loved this dress when I saw it on line and I was not disappointed. When I opened the box, I thought it looked too small. (I am a 10 Petite and that is what I ordered.) I tried it on and it fit perfectly. I couldn't believe it. It made my waist look smaller and it is quite comfortable. Being short (5'1") it is difficult to find a dress that you can just put on and fits as though it were made for you. This dress did. I am over 55 and it's also difficult to get a dress that doesn't look like you're going to the prom or isn't too frumpy. This dress is a classic look.

I read the other reviews on this dress after I first saw it and "placed it on my wish list". At that time, my size was not available so kept it on my wish list until such time. I went ahead and ordered it and voila, everything the reviews said were true. If you are going to own one black dress, this is THE ONE. It is simple, but elegant, and very comfortable to wear. The fabric is soft, but not loose fitting. I love the sheer sleeves and back details, along with the way it fits across the chest. I am a smaller size up there but it doesn't gape at all. I have now found the perfect black pump shoes to go with it. All I need now is the occasion to wear it for.

I was really excited to try on this dress, but in taking it out of the box, I realized the fabric was very flimsy, t-shirt weight material. A little disappointed by that. It fit perfectly, but I also realized that I'm just too pear-shaped to wear a dress like this. Very disappointing. I will be returning this dress. I'm sure it would be absolutely beautiful on someone who is built just like the model in the picture.
