This "little black dress" is lovely. I am a true 2 petite, the neckline was not quite right for me. Very comfortable fabric.

I bought this dress for my son's wedding. I ordered a size up based on other reviews (I usually wear a 6, bought this in an 8). It is very comfortable, the shutter pleats are a substantial knit, and the dress is lined from the bodice to the hem. It is perfect, both beautiful and comfortable!

I purchased this dress for a daytime civil wedding and it was a perfect choice in terms of style and comfort. I am 5'8, 130lbs and ordered a size 4. I discovered it was too large from the bustline to the hip and had it altered using the back seam to take it in which made a huge improvement. A four was the right size for my frame but expect it to be big if you are slim. Due to the pleating, the weight of the material is heavier than you'd think, but it is still comfortable and breathes well; I wore it on a 75 degree day under Maid of Honor pressures without issue and felt like I was in my running gear :) I think this is a great dress for slim and large ladies alike because it is stretch but has a constructed feel. If you are looking for bridesmaids dresses in black, this one would work on anyone and gets a gold star from me, despite needing to get it tailored. Just be sure you have a very good tailor and check that the pleats are matched up. Thank heavens for that back seam!

I purchased this dress in size 14 petite even though in some dresses I wear a size 16 petite. The other reviews were very accurate about this dress. It is stunning on! The fabric has some give, but control in all the right places, so you can get away with not having to wear a lot of undergarments. I don't agree with the posts that larger chested girls can do without a bra. I am a size 36DD and I felt that the dress without a bra made me look flat chested. A strapless underwire bra did not show under the mesh overlay and I was very pleased as where the dress cut me at the breasts showed just the right amount of cleavage. A lot of people posted about the weight of the dress and it is a heavier stretch material, but I am buying it for Valentine's Day, so for this time of the year the fabric is the right one to have. The horizontal pleats are in all the right places and my husband said WOW when I was just trying the dress on, so I can't wait until I have the shoes, jewelry, hair, etc for V day.
