As an older guy, the waist size is not as important as how the pant is cut. The trend with most manufacturers is a much more trimmer cut to fit tighter which is targeted to the younger guys. Brands that have gone that route include Brooks Brothers and Canali. Santtranelli pants are cut a bit more narrower in the legs than JB Britches. I like the fit and finish and wearability of JB Britches pants. They are very wrinkle resistant. The biggest cause of wrinkles in pants is for men to cross their legs while they sit. This puts deep creases in your pants.
