I purchased the slim cognito to pair with a curve-hugging dress for an outdoor wedding. Initially, the shaper was difficult to put on. I don't normally struggle with my clothese, as I am fully aware of my size and have given up on purchasing things that are too small (that I hope I may one day fit into). But I struggled with this shaper. I ordered the 2X, which is usually a comfortable size for me. And I get that the entire concept of a shaper is to compress so that you smooth out, but it was really tight at first. Since I didn't have any other options, I dealt with it. Once on, I felt fabulous and it was fine/comfortable. The fabric is indeed breathable. I wore this thing for 6 hours, at an outdoor wedding, and did not perspire. If you're not interested in fighting your garments, maybe order one size up. Otherwise, it does the job and I highly recommend!
Runs WAY smaller than the size chart specifies. I ordered a 1X, and according to the chart, it accommodates sizes 18 - 20 (which is actually on the larger side for me, however 1X was the smallest size available in plus)... horribly wrong! I couldn't get these things on past my thighs! I reordered the 2X. This should be interesting...

Does exactly what the package says...holds you in, flatten and uplift and holds in the flab so you feel lighter and smaller and look slimmer in clothes.
