Wears out quickly, minimal support
PostedNovember 29, 2012
I purchased two of these bras - the pink one from Nordstrom and a beige one from a maternity store. For the first few times I wore them, I was very pleased. They were very comfortable, and gave surprising support considering how flimsy they appeared. I wear a 32F (DDD), so have had a very difficult time finding non-underwire bras in my size, and was excited that Nordstrom had this one and it was so cute! (I'd had to settle for 34DD at the maternity store, which was definitely not ideal.)
Unfortunately, both bras began to wear out almost immediately. The first or second time I washed them (following instructions on the label), some of the elastic strings started to come out on the back of the band (along the top of the band between the strap and hook areas - happened in the same place with both bras). Also, the more I wore these bras, the more stretched out they became, in spite of rotating with a couple of other bras. I finally ended up returning the Nordstrom bra after 3 months or less (it was really worn out to the point I wanted to return it after only a month or two); caved in and finally just got an underwire nursing bra instead (Le Mystere Sexy Mama - love it!). I only wish I could return the one I got from the maternity store as well - thank you Nordstrom for your awesome return policy!!
Pros:
- great for around the house or as a sleep bra
- super cute!
- comfortable and soft
- extra rows of hooks to expand/shrink as needed with a growing/shrinking baby belly
- probably great for maternity comfort when growing tummy pressure and tender breasts make things more sensitive
Cons:
- breaks down quickly
- stretches out quickly
- not enough support for true daylong wear for a larger cup size (e.g., F/DDD)
- thin material is see-through (although usually not a big deal with nursing pads)
- this pink 32F only had two hooks on the band (how does that make sense?! the maternity store's beige 34DD of the same bra had 3 hooks)
- the extra rows of hooks tend to just be obnoxious when not needed (leaving this long flap of hooks to try to tuck under the band if you're at the "shrinking belly" stage)

Better than most, not perfect though

Like the smooth cups, great for under t-shirts. Not great support underneath though (I find throughout the day, the band under my chest rides up) may have my tailor add some boning to the band, cause the size is correct and I like the soft fit and style.

Great for night time nursing

Proscomfortable, soft
This bra does not offer much support for those with a larger bust but it is great for night time nursing or relaxing around the house.

Great "at home" nursing bra
PostedAugust 25, 2012
This bra is extremely comfortable and perfect to wear around the house (and I normally HATE wearing a bra when I'm at home!). The cups are very thin though so I don't think it's a good bra to wear out (especially with a tighter fitting top) since it'll reveal too much. I've tried wearing the disposable nursing pads inside of them when I go out but then it makes me look very lumpy. Runs true to size.
