In Ivory: A Wedding Dance Dress

My daughter is getting married on a late afternoon summer day. We expect a steamy hot day. A magnificent formal wedding dress is being made for the ceremony. When the dancing begins, the formal wedding dress will retire to the dressing room, and the bride will change into this lovely little dress, in ivory, still looking very much as a bride. She says its comfortable and fits perfectly. She's a tall young woman, with curves, desirous of a dress that accentuates her lovely figure while still being sufficiently free flowing to be comfortable when dancing.
Body type and age describe the bride.

I want to preface this review by saying that I am so bummed!!! I fell in love with this dress while shopping online for my wedding. I ordered it and was so excited!! After trying it on, I should have ordered one size smaller. I did go by the measurements on the chart, not the size that I typically wear. Beyond the fact that it was just a little too big, it made me look 30 pounds heavier. I'm not a real big girl (5'5", 140 lbs), but as soon as I put it on I instantly felt and looked much heavier than I really am. There is something about the poofiness of the bodice and straps that just didn't flatter my frame. It just gave me an all-over look of "big" that I didn't want to have on my wedding day. So, back to the drawing board. As I continue on, I still see this one come up in my search results and it makes me sad every time I see it. Really sad. :( Also, it should be noted that this is definitely an off-white color, more so than in the photos.

I am 4'10" 32b my measurements are 32-27-37. I bought a size 2 because of the reviews and I am glad I did. It zipped up like butter. I will have to have it hemmed and the straps shortened a bit, but that is because I am short. I would like to say that I am almost always a size 4 in a dress. I haven't worn a 2 since highschool. The dress is beautiful, well made and classy. I bought it is ivory for my dress rehearsal dinner. I love that I can wear a regular bra with it. I will be looking for other occasions to wear it. It is beautiful!! I feel like a Marylin Monroe (minus the cleavage) in this dress!!!

The dress is perfect; I purchased in white for a destination wedding and the sizing is exact. It was estimated to arrive 2 days later and it was only 4 days in total but it was during the New England Blizzard in Feb 2013 so I was still very impressed!
