I've been wearing the 'Gayle' for several years and it's been the most comfortable style from Athena Alexander. I use my bronze pairs the most but also make good use of my black ones.
The 'Gayle' used to be available in-store and I do miss that as I find the fit can be a bit inconsistent, i.e., some of my pairs are size 5 and others are 6s. I would recommend ordering 2 different sizes since Athena Alexander doesn't have 1/2 sizes.

The moment I put these shoes on they were comfortable. No need to brake them in. Just slide into them and go. They were my first pair of Athena Alexander's and they will not be my last. Very satisfied!

The leather band is sooo soft making these very comfortable shoes. It was recommended to order up a size so I did and they were too big. I usually wear an 8.5 and ordered the 9's. There was space at the end. I have reordered them in 8's but they have not arrived yet. I usually am an 8 in Athena's. I am not a high heel person and these seem really comfortable as though I could wear them. Feels fun to be taller. I have another pair of hers, same height, different style, and have worn them all night dancing and they were great.

Soft, flexible straps; sole support; semi-dressy. I have a bunion, but this adjusts to my feet and will look great for dinners out and travel evenings.
