I agree completely with the first reviewer. It can be hard to find shoe options that look feminine, attractive and light when you just can't do minimal "strappy" shoes or skinny heels for whatever reason. These shoes have the secure, supportive feel of a wedge heel, yet the shape of the heel is very stylish and attractive, not chunky. The criss-crossing leather upper is just enough coverage on the foot, and also very attractive. The footbed is soft, and the shoe is just very comfortable. The leather is remarkably soft and supple. I've never worn a sexy, sophisticated shoe nearly as comfortable! I purchased bronze and black, and would buy a pair in other colors if budget allowed! And, yes, navy would definitely be a great addition to the color line-up. I highly recommend these. (For size reference, my foot is a 10.5, which is not made, so the sizing situation was advantageous for me. Just a half size up, not a whole as suggested, the eleven fits well.)

I am so happy to have found these shoes and in my size. With such a small foot, I find it very difficult to get shoes, and have any variety at all to choose from. This is great...Thank You Nordstrom's. You have a customer for life.

Finally a sexy shoe for me

Finally there is a sexy shoe for me. Due to back problems, I cannot wear the tall, slim heel of a sexy shoe. I also have hammer toes. So I had to have sort of dressy shoes made by an Orthotist--big bucks!!! And my everyday slide has a chunky heel (Nordstrom shoe) but makes me feel less than pretty in the foot dept. Then I found Athena Alexander "Gayle." I have every color, plus one you do not carry anymore, plus a second orange pair. I LOVE THEM. If I use a pad, I can wear them with stockings if it is cold out. They make me feel wonderful and youthful!!! The wedge gives me support; the heel is not too high; the style is terrific. ONLY ONE REQUEST--NAVY, PLEASE. I went up 1/2 size, since I now wear an 8 1/2 M; in these I wear a 9 M. Thank you a million times over for this great shoe.
