This jacket is warm and the material is very soft. The zipper is smooth. The pockets are roomy and zip as well, which is great for preventing keys or phone from falling out. The front of the jacket leaves fuzzy bits of cloth on my shirts. I haven't washed it yet but hope that will solve the issue.
