I bought this as a Christmas gift for my daughter, an 8th grader. She is about 5'6" and 118 pounds. It fit perfectly, the fleece is amazing, the color truly purple. The only slight negative is the contrasting gray/light tan fabric trim. I think it would look better in the same purple or black, even navy or dark gray. My daughter loves it and wears it everywhere, inside and out. It is not quite as warm or heavy as the polartec 300 weight jackets (e.g. north face denali or ems 300). Another daughter has a jacket from Lands End made of a similar fleece and it did pill up over time and many washes, fyi. We'll see how this one makes out.

I love the jacket! It is warm and very soft. It fit perfectly. It is very versatile.

I will echo many other reviews- this jacket is very warm and cozy. I have had it several weeks and have had no issues with "shedding". I had a hard time deciding on size- ultimately went with a small. I am 5'4" and around 120 lbs. The jacket is a perfect fit- but like others have said, I wouldn't be able to put a lot of bulky layers under it. If I had ordered a bigger size, I think the shoulder seams would have been way off. I do not live in an extremely cold climate, so this jacket is perfect for me many days out of the year. I would highly recommend it.

Material is very soft and not as bulky as other fleece jackets I've seen. Kept me warm during my cold winter holiday in Europe in December.
