beautiful shoe but big if you don't need orthotics

I found these at a store and thought they were beautiful. They were very comfortable when trying on. However, I now realize they are too comfortable. I didn't realize they were for orthotics until I was shoe shopping today. Now I know why they seem so big for the size! Can you recommend any fat socks or something to make them fit better?

I’m very happy with the first pair in Black. Just received a pair in Chile and it looks like AE trimmed the sole with a hand saw, it is very rough. We’re did the AE quality go? I’m not very happy with this pair. I have 15 pairs of AE and this is this first that I’m not happy with.

Most versatile AE shoes I own

I love my Ashton shoes, which I have owned for four years and just had recrafted. They are my go-to business trip shoes. Perfect for that long trip abroad where you can't plan on the weather. They look great with slacks, khakis and jeans. Extremely comfortable as the vibram sole adds a lot of cushion. Also, I am surprised at how good they look after recrafting. Almost a new pair and ready for another four years. There is a reason these shoes have been in the AE catalog for many years.

Great fit -- Too loud!

Third pair of AEs, first pair of Ashtons. I have very flat feet and need a wider toe box. These are very comfortable shoes. However, as mentioned in other reviews, they SQUEAK! A LOT! Maybe it is the insole. I'll try another orthotic insole and see if that quiets the shoes. If not, I'll put up with the noise in exchange for comfort. AE take note, my co-workers don't think much of the company because of the squeaking.
