These are the most comfortable and long-lasting shoes I own, including a couple of pairs of C&J! After about 4 years of heavy walking use, they still take a great shine and spots seem to vanish with ordinary shoe care soap and polish.
I wear them to work (a casual dress code), on the street, business travel and on vacations for city walking. But Park Avenues are best for dancing.
They really stand out as a walking shoe.
I can't recommend them highly enough.

Love these shoes! They are very comfortable and look great with jeans as well as casual Friday. Perfect if you want to only travel for a weekend with just one pair of shoes. They look sharp and are comfortable for walking. Only problem I've experienced is the sole has spilt on both sides of the right shoe. (So far some glue has worked.) I will get the brown pair too.

Even number of eyelets

Isn't it high time that AE uses even numbers of eyelets on all of their shoes so that straight bar lacing can be used without the unsightly cross-over? I am sure there are perfectly good reasons, construction and tradition oriented, for shoes made with an odd number of eyelets but the fact is is that AE uses straight bar lacing in all of their product photography because they know it looks better. Of course, the product manager must use some kind of trick to hide the cross-over because it isn't visible in the product image.
Since I am griping (sort of), I wish AE would provide 18" and 21" Dawhyde replacement shoelaces. I don't care for the big flamboyant loops created by the longer laces. I know some guys have big fingers and need that length to tie the laces but Dawhyde provides the grabbing power needed to loop and tie more easily with shorter laces.
One last thing, the premium AE puts on custom shoes is too much. Cut it in half and I have at least another dozen shoes I'd like to order.
Otherwise, AE is my shoe of choice. I have over 20 pairs and looking for more.

Great look and great comfort

I have had these shoes for several years. Some days I have a long walk and enjoy the comfort of the rubber sole. I matched the shoes with a chili colored belt. The shoes fit great and I really enjoy the comfort. There are no complaints.
