I wear over-the-calf socks every day and have purchased several brands over the years; none have been as comfortable or long-lasting as these. They stay up all day and keep their shape and elasticity wash after wash.
These socks stay up ALL day. They breathe really well. I read the size descriptions and the length of the foot is a bit bigger than I anticipated. Not baggy, but not quite what I thought it would be. I am 5' 9" and got the mediums. The length of the socks going up the leg is also a bit longer than I expected. I wanted over the calf, but these make it all the way up to the middle of my kneecap without any stretching of the fabric. The socks have been great though. After putting them on, I do not notice them at all throughout the day.
I bought these for my husband for Christmas. He has very skinny legs and these socks slide right down. He tried pulling them over his knee since there was still a lot of sock and folding them over. We decided against buying sock garters for these. They are very nice, great with business and business casual trousers and slacks but if you don't really have much of a calf these might have a hard time staying up on you.
I tried them on as I have larger calves than my husband and they stay up on me! So I can attest for most men these will stay up but for those who are not blessed with slightly thicker calves, you may have to buy sock garters for these.
