I love this dress. I agree with the other reviewer that it does run slightly large, but I don't necessarily find that bad, since it means that it fit perfectly across my chest. I did have the bottom half blocked to slightly shrink the area around my hips, so that it flows much better.
I agree that it doesn't mesh as well with Santana knits, but it does coordinate well with the nubby patterns, IMHO.
As I'm sure many of you know, periodic blocking is needed for these knits since normal wear does stretch out the sizing.

I own this dress. I also own the same dress in a Santana knit. This caviar dress material is lumpy, shapeless, and knubby- not a classic evening dress as one would think from photo. It is my go-to outfit when I am feeling overweight. It covers lumps but does nothing to flatter the figure. It is a real disappointment. The knit does not coordinate well with other St John pieces either. The Santana version is much more flattering and shapely.

Did not like the weave of the knit- too loose. Felt like it would loose it's shape easily. Neck line was also a little droopy.

Simple yet elegant. Not the usual Santana knit. Lighter and interesting texture. Flattering yet without being too tight.
