The cut of this dress is incredibly flattering and fits true to size. I did remove the shoulder pads. I would consider ordering this dress in other colors if available.

I have purchased a number of these Ralph Lauren Dress over the past two years. The jersey material is a heavy weight, hangs beautifully and is very forgiving. Even after multiple washings the dress looks beautiful.
However, this seasons dress was a HUGE disappointment. The grapefruit color was beautiful, but the fabric was thin, flimsy and looked cheap. In the light, you could see everything so a slip would be needed - and the dress cannot accomodate a slip. It fits to snug. The dress also ran smaller than previous years.
I hope Ralph Lauren isn't doing what other manufacturers do - take a great dress and ruin it with cheap fabric.

This dress is beautiful, much prettier than the picture. I do agree that the shoulder pads are not needed so I have removed mine. It is perfect for my evening wedding attendance.

I gasped in delight when I tried on this dress!! I bought two colors, navy size 14 and a brown animal print size 12. They fit about the same, actually, with the main difference being in the bodice. The empire waist of the 12 starts a little high for my 38DD bust, although I don't really think it is noticeable and may be ok with a different bra. I will wear the navy to a wedding and keep the print for who knows what. The fabric is a nice weight and will travel well, if that's important to you.
