First of all this is NOT tinted. It’s a light, light shear brown. It does not apply dark. Second, the smell is horrific. Like from self tanners 30years ago. Do not waste your money!
Clinique self sun is the best on the market, and I've tried them all. It produces a beautiful color (not the orange/yellow hue of some others), and gives you the most bang for your buck. I am fair and blonde, but I get the medium-dark because I want to feel like I've gotten a tan. And it lasts a long time - about a week. The bronzer that goes on with the application may seem a bit dark if you are fair, but it showers off after the 4-hour development time (or longer, if you want). Even so, the bronzer is still a nice color. I usually wait the 15 minutes after application before dressing, but even when I don't, my clothes have never shown any sign of stain from the tanner. I tried cheaper store-bought tanners, but they're too thick, produce pale color, and stain my clothes. I highly recommend this product! I am 5'3, average size, and I get 3 whole-body applications out of one tube. That beats the cost of 3 professional spray tan$$ + tip!
I am not impressed with this tinted lotion. It has a funny smell, and does not provide much color. The color it does provide is a touch on the orange side. Won't be buying again.
