I used this only once and it made my skin look very orange the first day. After that it looked good. I'm going to try mixing it with a mouisterizer to lessen the effect.
It's not green out of the bottle! Gorgeous instant color. This is my favorite for the face. Absorbs quickly and no greasy feel. Doesn't smell like typical self tanner.
This it THE BEST face tanner I have tried and I have tried them all. I continually go back to this one. It is gentle on my face and leaves a good color, that lasts. It does not turn out orange either. Great face tanner!
This results in a medium to dark tan on my light, white skin. It goes on easily with little to no smell. It doesn't dry my face out afterwards. Here's my routine: I cleanse my face using my Clarisonic, then I exfoliate using Josie Maran's argan oil exfoliating powder which is fantastic, I then apply Josie Maran's Milk which is a serum. I wait about 10 minutes making sure my face is completely dry and apply Clinique self sun lotion for faces evenly over my face, neck, and ears. Within 6 hours I have a medium to dark tan. It lasts two days without reapplying if I don't exfoliate or use Clarisonic the 2nd day. Personally I think it looks realistic. I don't have any trouble with it "grabbing" anywhere on my face like you do when using self tanner on your body. The only negative thing I have to say is it causes my face to break out in little bumps. I really need to take a day or two off in between applications to avoid this. I must add even though I'm no longer prone to breakouts when I was younger I did have acne. All in all I recommend Clinique self tan lotion for faces, it's the only one I use. I have tried others but always go back to Clinique.
