This dress definitely has its place and time. It has a cute empire style with a concealing pleat that disguises a belly if you have one, but on the other hand, it doesnt do anything to define your waiste if you dont have a belly. I suppose I will keep it for times when I dont feel like holding it in or wearing nylons :) . Its slightly low cut, but if you do have a belly I suppose you want to draw attention to your other assets....

I did order one size smaller after reading the reviews. I'm usually a size 6, but ordered size 4 instead. The dress is figure-flattering. I had a baby last year and still have some fat on my tummy. The front design of the dress hides it well. The fabric is just so so, but for this price, I couldn't ask for more.

I was looking for a good work dress. This designer usually runs true to size but the bust and waste didn't fit right. I should have gone down a size but I didn't want a tight fit. Too bad - the sleaves were perfect for work.

I would recommend this dress for someone who wants to look cute. I felt like it was designed to be an early-pregnancy dress. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, if you are trying to hide a small tummy. It's appropriate for office wear.
