I have been wearing these socks for at least 10 years. I just bought a dozen new pairs in the extended size as I do approximately every 1 1/2 -2 years and I am very disappointed. I get the larger size because they are more comfortable on my calves and stay up really well.They have changed! They are now much smaller, thicker and less stretchy, to the point that the extended size barely fits over my foot to put it on. I will be returning all of the pairs and searching for a new type of sock that actually fits. So sad!

I Should Have Taken Warnings

These socks were terribly tight around the knees - so much so that even though I bought the largest size (which I didn't need for the foot) they were still so tight that by the time I took them off the first evening after wearing them all day my ankles were SWOLLEN! I immediately threw them out......BE WARNED!

Too tight, inconsistent quality

I ordered 4 pairs and no two were alike as far as fit. 3 of the 4 pair were so tight in the band it was actually painful. I will be returning.
I have had Nordstrom knee socks for over 15 years - they only began to get holey this year. The style had changed slightly, in that the previous ones had scalloped tops which, alas, are discontinued (I liked them, you design guys, they were pretty, and easy to pair up from the dryer. How about reviving them?) Since I've just gotten the new pack, I can't say how well these will wear, but I expect good service from them, as I had in the past. They are a little thicker than the DKNY brand, not see-through at all, nice and warm but not wool so not itchy. Won't hesitate to get more as the old ones retire.
