Charcoal Nordstrom Silk Tie

I ordered a charcoal, Nordstrom branded silk tie from the website. The tie itself is constructed very well. For anyone who has never had a Nordstrom tie in their wardrobe, the one feature I like the most is that on the backside of the tie, there are two loops through which the tie's "tail" can be placed when wearing. This is a most useful feature, as the length of a tie's backside "tail" can vary with the knotting method used and the desired length of the front side of the tie. This feature allows the "tail" to be neatly secured behind the tie with a variety of knot types and tie lengths. Although the tie is constructed well, I would caution a potential buyer that the color of the actual tie appears darker than depicted on the website. I have purchased several Nordstrom ties, and I have noticed the same effect: that the tie one receives in the mail is a shade or two darker than how the identical tie appears online. I do wish that the website would depict the tie's colors a bit more accurately; however, I am still satisfied with my purchase and would definitely buy another Nordstrom branded tie in the future.

I've had a great experience with this and other Nordstrom-brand ties. The fabric on this tie is flawless--no loose threads or visible flaws in the weave. It makes a great knot and holds a dimple, and it's just the right weight--not too bulky, not too thin. It has a nice soft drape (some ties are too stiff.) Nordstrom designs are not very trendy--just basic designs that will last a long time and not look dated. This tie is better than some I've bought that cost 50% more. And it's made in USA. I will buy a few more of these to round out my collection.
