It looked and felt more like an old time funeral dress, and that sheer material was a little cheap -looking. The fit was larger than Papell's similar style dresses at the hip area. I wear a 6 and the bodice was that size but overall too long. Normally a 6 is my true fit with Papell. The Sheer detail on the sleeves fit tighter than the hip area, and without any bling or nice detailing near the face area, it just is a very black dress. A person could have it altered in the hip area, but the sheer material used keeps it from being an elegant dress in my opinion.

Beautiful dress. Fits like a glove. Very sexy while being conservative so can be worn for business events or dinner dates. Perfect for what I wanted and my husband loves it. Close to being true to size, but if you're between sizes, I would do the bigger size.

I bought this dress approximately 3years ago. I still get tons of compliments. I was at a fashion show most recently and a stranger asked me if I was one of the models or if I was wearing my own dress. It is snug fitting but extremely comfortable. I do not have a perfectly flat stomach after two boys but Spanx helps smooth out my few lumps.
I highly recommend this dress.

This dress fit very well. I wanted it for a New Years Eve party and it was a bit too conservative in spite of the fit. I am 5'3" and the length was longer than I liked. I returned it but not due to quality or fit...I found another one I liked better.
