The dress is pretty but, unfortunately, I felt it was overpriced for the quality. I was hoping to be able to wear it for a special event but had to return it.

Simple Elegance

Prossleek & elegant

I bought this dress as an investment: I wanted a simple, black, modest yet still sexy dress. I decided on this one after reading the other reviews. I am in my 20s and it's very difficult to find a sexy dress that is below knee length and does not show too much cleavage. I was afraid the dress would be too big (they only had a 4 and I am usually a 2) but it worked out perfectly. Because of the stretchy quality of the material, the dress fit me but could also easily fit someone 10 lbs more than me. Because of the material, there is a little give-and-take on the sizing. I'd say the dress is more like a size 2-4, so maybe it runs a teensy bit on the small side. Because it is on the bigger end of the fitting spectrum, I found the "clinging" quality does not bother me but only flatters my figure.
I agree with another reviewer about the mesh being stretched out on a hanger. I used a pants hanger to clip the bottom of the dress, and then the rest of it hangs and then I've draped it over another regular, padded hanger (so no creases). This I believe will minimize stretching. I would not hang it on a regular hanger for normal storage. The mesh is very fragile. I can see where someone would say it looks a little cheap but honestly, when it is on, it looks quite elegant.

Beautiful dress but not for me

Proselegant classic

This dress is lovely but is NOT among those shutter-pleated items that are kind to the figure. It emphasized all my saddlebag thighs in a most unattractive way. You have to have slim, straight hips to wear this dress well.
Also -- was disconcerted to find that my order was for a color called "mercury", when the illustration showed only black. Was able to cancel that order and find the dress in black, but as noted above, it didn't work out. However, please show the color that is being sold!

Lovely dress - photo is a little off

The sleeves in the photo are shown at 3/4, though the dress has a full sleeve - FYI. I do wish it had a back slit for ease of walking and to add a little more oomph to the back of the dress. Having said that, the dress is very elegant and would be entirely appropriate on a mature woman for a wedding, elegant holiday party or dinner out. It requires accessories, as it's not much on its' own. Adrianna Papell runs a bit smallish, so the sleeves may catch you up. They are not generous, but if you have slender upper arms, you will be fine. Otherwise, it may bind. I'm a 4-6 and a 6 fit fine.
