This foundation has a beautiful finish, just disappears into skin. It has medium coverage. The 4 is very fair, and the 4.5 is fair too but a little warmer.

Great product in every way. It is important to select a shade with the correct undertones for one's skin. The shades ending in .5 have a strong yellow undertone, so on cool toned skin these may look okay but not ideal. The regular numbers (neutral, slightly pink undertones) will make your skin come alive and look seamless if you have cool undertones. It's a detail but the difference is substantial. Even if you have some redness on the surface of your cool toned skin, this foundation will even it out.
I've used this foundation for 2-3 years now. Before that I spent a lot of time looking for the perfect foundation. This is as close to perfect as I have found. It lasts and most people don't think that I am wearing foundation. I have had many comments about how nice my skin looks. :-) The foundation has medium coverage and is SPF 20. Yes it is expensive but you can stretch it. I use two pumps on days I want more coverage, but I can get away with one pump. I wear it with the Armani microfil powder and Burberry Luminous Fluid Base, which I would also recommend. I am blond with fair skin and I wear the 5 color. Highly recommend!
I've bought just about all of the department store brands (Chanel, MAC, Laura Mercier, etc.) and some others as well and don't need to look any further after finding this one. I have combination skin, oily in the T zone, but not all over. This foundation goes on like a dream, very light, with buildable coverage. It feels weightless. I'm not feeling like an oil slick within a couple of hours, which is amazing. Lasts all day and then some (I just wore it on a plane for all day travel and it still looked pretty darn good when I arrived). Can't say enough about this great make-up!
