It's a shame that Nordstrom is following the pervasive corporate trend of cutting corners on their products in order to increase profit margins. To the naked eye these shoe trees look the same as the ones I've been buying from Nordstrom for years but when I put them in my size 15M shoes, they have shaved just enough cedar off the length and girth that if I turn the shoes upside down, these shoe trees fall out of the shoe. The XXL's are no longer large enough to hold the shape of my shoes. I've been buying the same XXL Nordstrom's shoe trees for over 15 years and these are the first batch that don't fit my shoes. The saying "they don't make anything like they used to" now even applies to these shoe trees. Corporate greed, when will it end? I bought (3) pair and they are all useless.
I bought the men’s shoe tree in women’s size. It is helping me (in conjunction with leather conditioner and (when I get the courage) a session with a low heated iron) to remove and mitigate the creases on my women’s leather dress shoes. I will be buying more pairs to repair and “retrain” my other leather shoes.
