Beautiful natural sandal that goes great with everything. The patent runs tighter than the regular leather styles of the same sandal, but I imagine will stretch more over time. Definitely recommend!
Not only is this shoe named after one of my favorite movies it's also one of my favorite sandals. I have bought a pair of these sandals every other year. If you wear them with everything, because they are basic and comfy, then yes, you too will wear through them that fast. If you want them to last longer, then get more brown sandals. To make them last longer than a couple years, don't do what I do, which is pull them off by sliding the ankle strap down your heel and stepping out of them, you will stress the elastic, which will eventually wear and snap. When you first put them on (if they aren't a display) they will be tight, but they will stretch and fit better by the end of the day and you will be able to adjust the ankle strap from "omg are my ankles that thick!?" to "this is better, I knew it wasn't me." I wear a 6.5 to 7 in sandals and I bought these in a 6.5, you want them to fit just right. I bought them in a 7 one year and they were too big and I flopped around all summer, I felt like I was wearing flippers. I also have high arches and instep which were not affected by the top strap/band. I have tried not purchasing these this year and I gave in because I found that I was borrowing my mom's pair a lot and she said "get your own you will stretch mine out with your hobbit feet." Which reminds me, they are good for people with a wider toe box area/foot whatever. Hope this helps.
