SIX YEARS. I originally purchased my first Gigis in 2011 before a month-long study abroad trip to Europe. They were the perfect shoe for both Switzerland and Italy during the summer, and have remained my constant companion every summer since. I just looked at my original pair from 2011 and noticed that the elastic on the strap is finally wearing out, so I will be purchasing a new pair soon. I am completely brand loyal after my experience with these shoes. It's not everyday you find a sandal that you can wear every single day in the summer and that will last for six years. Absolutely amazing.
These shoes fit true to size. I love the way they look but they can be difficult to walk in and will break if you're not careful. Otherwise a great pair of sandals.
Got the nude patent color. Nice for a minimalistic look. Runs small. Will have to return for a half size bigger than even the recommended order half size up.
Got these in black. Love the quality of Sam Edelman sandals and own several pairs. I tend to drag my feet or get clumsy & somehow my sandals catch on a stair or something rough. Other sandals scratch off to reveal the "brown leather" was just a faux...but not these...they have a tough sole that even if scratched, looks just as good, and never peels away, even after getting wet. These are the type of sandals you have for years, not just 1 summer.
