Proscomfortable
I bought these a year and half ago and am still in love with these. I bought them in the distressed gray. I get compliments on them every single time I wear them; just like the rest of my Frye boots and shoes. There is no zipper so they will be tight for awhile, I had my husband pull them off for the first 10 times I wore them. I definitely recommend getting them soled. Elsewise you won't want to use stairs.

Prosclassic style, comfortable, quality leather
I love the smell of good leather boots! This was my second frye boot purchase and I am absolutely smitten. I previously purchased a pair of Tory Burch and Cole Haan. Both were returned. Frye boots are outstanding in terms of leather quality, craftsmanship, and durability.

My calves are about 15" so I was really confused about whether to order the regular size or extended calf. I went ahead and got the extended calf and they were too big. They didn't look ridiculous or anything especially with jeans tucked in, but when I got the regular size in they fit perfect. Unless you have super thick legs you should be fine with the regular ones. Other than that I love the boot. The leather smells so nice. I wish it did have a little more padding in the foot because that's the problem I have with another pair of boots (not Frye's) but it's not a deal breaker. I wear an 11 so that's what I ordered and they fit true to size (minus the calf circumference)

Worth the investment!

Excellent quality! I searched everywhere for a pair of nice riding boots that wouldn't bunch at the ankle, and had these recommended to me. You definitely get what you pay for! Well worth the splurge. My only reasoning for not giving five stars is the fit--they do run large, so size down 1/2 to a full size. Fortunately, Nordstrom provides excellent and easy customer service when exchanging!
