These are amazing! The leather feels/smells great, they don't slip too much despite not having much traction on the sole, and they go with everything. They're beautiful and worth every penny. I am usually a 9, sometimes 9.5 in heels and I needed an 8.5 in this boot so I reccomend ordering 1/2 a size down from your flats/running shoe size. They can be difficult to get on at first because they don't have a zipper. I had trouble getting my foot past the ankle area, but with a pair of thin, slippery socks and a blow Dryer I was able to get my foot in. You can always try the plastic bag trick- works like a charm! Eventually they will stretch to your foot and fit beautifully.
After purchasing the Melissa Button Frye boots in brown at the store (on sale) and wearing them for about a month, I decided to get the black pair too since the price was even better online. These boots are classy, comfortable and fit my 14" calves attractively. This is a really well-made boot and the leather is amazing. I did have to buy some anti-slip sole stick-ons since the soles are very slippery on carpet. I hope to enjoy both pair of Fryes for a long long time.
Whether you are going casual or dressy this is the boot for you. They look amazing with leggings, jeans, skirts, and dresses. The fit is so comfortable they can be worn for hours.
