I have a number of Frye boots and was excited for a tall brown simple pair. These didn't make the cut. First, they run large overall. I ordered a half size down, but they feel sloppy on. The calf on these boots also ran large. I am 5'10" with muscular calves. These had room to spare with a skinny jean and my large calves. Still, Frye makes a lovely boot, so I'll keep searching for the right pair.
I've had these for a few weeks and I love them. When I first put them on in the morning they feel snug but after a few hours they seem to loosen up. I know my foot is still breaking the boots in. I'm usually an 8/8.5 and I went with the 8.
