I went back and forth for a long time about whether to buy these boots in black because of the price, but boy I'm glad I did. They are very comfy and I LOVE the way they look with skinny jeans, skinny black pants and skirts/dresses. I found that they ran a little large, so I sized down from a 10 to a 9.5. The break in period was short and fairly easy. Now I'm thinking about getting another pair in Cognac!
First off, Frye boots are amazing! My mom has had a pair for over 30 years. I believe these will last a long time too. I love the look of these boots. They can be dressed down or up, and will last a long time. My only wish is that they make the shafts bigger for pants. However, there has been a trend to make the shafts of boots smaller for some time and this boot is no exception. I ordered the extended calf so that it would fit with pants, but it was still too tight. Fortunately, Nordstrom's offers free stretching services. I took my boots into the store and they kindly stretched them for me. They are still tight but I think with a little wear they should be perfect. I can't say enough how awesome the customer service is with Nordstrom. Not only did they exchange a size for me, but they stretched them and gave me a price adjustment! What a great buying experience.
