I LOVE the look of these Frye boots, and have honestly been coveting them for some time. Because they were on sale I decided to finally go for it. The store did not have the extended calf sizes but ordered them for me. When they arrived they were still far too tight - I wear an 8.5 and while the ankle is a bit roomy the calf is only about 15.5 inches around, so my 16.5 inch calves don't really fit! I was surprised after trying the regular boots in store how insignificant the difference is between the regular and extended calf.
I took the boots to be stretched - and the staff told me it should be fine. Unfortunately they only gave about a half inch, and of course cannot be returned after they've been stretched.
Anyhow - be warned that they are not really for athletic calves, and stretching only gives you the tiniest bit of extra room!

I am in love with the Melissa Button Boot. I normally wear an 8-8.5 and the 8 was a little bit loose so it does run slightly big.
