Though the description of the dress mentions shutter pleats the photo doesn't really show them that well. The entire dress has horizontal pleats that are about an inch or so wide each. Even if that were not so, I don't like the overall look and feel of the dress. It is a quality dress, rich color (blue) but kinda thick fabric that may make you look a little heavier, especially with the pleating. Not my preference in terms of style. Probably looks great on someone and quality is fine, therefore I will recommend it. But not flattering for me at all and will be returning it.

Great dress - wrong color for me

I have this dress in black - and love it. Ordered another in Sapphire blue. The blue pictured on the model is closer to a no-longer-available-color called Midnight blue. Sapphire is actually brighter and little lighter blue. It does not flatter me, so I returned it. Style is lovely and flattering. Wish Nordstrom still had this dress in Midnight blue.

Prosyour new little, black dress!
This is the perfect little black dress, it can go from day to night , it hugs your curves and is very figure flattering! I am a bit busty , so if you have a large bust consider ordering one size up.

Sometimes it's hard to feel elegant and sexy at the same time. This dress does it. This dress has a true to size fit that shows curves in a good way and a v-neck that is revealing but not REVEALING. The pleats add fabulous texture. Seriously just try this dress. You deserve to feel this good!
