I bought this dress in black for a performance, and am very happy with its elegance and 'slightly sexy' edge. I am 5'7" and 128 lbs; the size 2 fits perfectly. Only issue is that when I raise/move my arms (I conduct), the above-the-knee fit tracks farther my thigh, and must be manually adjusted.

Red Hot, but Not too

I purchased this dress after buying the same one in black. I saw the black one after searching for dress from another designer, recently purchased from a high-end, boutique near my home. That dress was purchased at the last minute for an unexpected solemn event, when half of my closet was in storage during a home renovation, I hate to shop in emergency mode and was delighted to find something age-appropriate, but flattering to my figure, (only overweight in my mind, Mutli-D cup, slimmer hips, not much waist and a little tummy sometimes. In an online search for the same dress, on mutlitple sites, this Adrianne Papell kept coming up as, "You might like", so I ordered it. Nordstrom reviews were key in determing whether or not to order it.Many ordered it in different sizes citing Nordstoms great return policy. I can wear anything from a 4 to a 10 andI ordered 6, 8 & 10 Could've worn the 8, but I am just past 60 and conservative husband and I felt it was better to go with a little loose. Black one fit better in the top in the 8, but he wasn't sure if 8 pulled acrosst the below bra in back, (he said the same thing about the 10!) Wore the black for cocktail party using double stick tape to keep cross-over from separating and gapping. The red one seems to be even more inclined to do that than the black. May get seamstress to tack or something. If you wore a push up bra or had silicone implants, it might not happen problem, but don'tdisplay my more than adequate, natural assets so prominently, . Some said it was too tight in the arms, but if looser, couldgap at the top slide off at the shoulders. After wearing the black ordered it in red. It's elegant yet sexy dress for my figure and style. Try it in person orread the reviews to determine size. I'm 5-5, 137. Dress 6 to10. Jeans 28 to30..

Beautiful color and design and fit other than too short for a 5'6" mature woman 70+. Sorry I have to return it. Nice quality.

I am 5"8' and roughly 140 pounds with chunky arms and I appreciate how this dress covers my arms while the dress silhouette is still sexy. Very flattering dress.
I like the midnight blue option which is sliming, but not as harsh as black.
