This dress was very figure-flattering for me. I'm 5' 6", 148 lbs, a bit busty (36D), and have a little bit of a tummy, and found the size 14 (whose 40-1/2" bust measurement matched my own) offered the best fit. The color of the dress I received exactly matched with the color I see on my computer monitor for the "Pansy" color, although I might describe it more as an "Eggplant." In no way would I call it "very bright purple" or "cheap looking" as a couple of other recent reviewers wrote.

Color is very bright purple, VERY low cut and shorter in length than the photo indicates. I am 5'11" and usually wear a size 14. Although it was advertised as curve-hugging, the 16 was too small on me and not flattering on my body. I have always been happy with the quality and style of clothing from Adrianna Papell. This particular dress was just not for me.

I'm literally in shock by all the positive reviews for this dress. Online, it looks substantial and elegant. In person, the material has an odd drape, is shiny, and cheap looking. I ordered the blue; online it looks rich and deep. But once I received it, it has that 1980s electric blue tone that is just ridiculous.
The fit is matronly; it fell below my knees and I'm of average build: 5'6", 140 pounds, generally a size 6 or 8. Overall, this garment just screamed "CHEAP".
I own other Adrianna Papell dresses and their quality is much nicer. Then again, those dresses are not made of jersey like this is.
